What if Grandma's cookbook was able to communicate? What if lost recipes could be found and preserved for future generations? What if you could get your hands on scrumptious delights from the past and present? It's all possible thanks to the new DishtoryApp, which brings it all together!
Dishtory was founded by Ohio residents and longtime friends Chris Kozak and Dan Zawisza, who believe that nothing tells a family's history like the food they share and the dishes they produce together.

It's the first smartphone app that allows culinary artists, aspiring chefs, and home cooks to record, save, and share family memories in text, photo, audio, and video — all in one location — for the rest of their lives. Dishtory is more than a meal; it is a sensory memory of the flavors and scents that should be kept.
A chat between co-founder Dan Zawisza and his mother inspired the user-generated and crowdsourced Dishtory app while he was looking for his mother's Christmas sugar cookies that he recalled from childhood to share with his own family.
It's a fun, free gift to share with family and friends throughout the holidays. At parties, the app may create a unique holiday experience by serving as an interactive game for sharing the history and recipes of your family's unique dishes. Modern families are welcomed in a variety of forms. The software can help adoptive children and blended families retrieve long-lost recipes, supply inherited recipes for adopted children and mixed families, provide healthier twists on old-fashioned recipes (e.g. alternative milks, gluten-free, etc.), and much more.
